Issue
I have a problem using JPA and @Transient
annotation. I'm working with Spring Boot and MySQL database. Have no idea how to get rid of this mapping error. It seems that JPA is trying to create database entry for MultipartFile
despite @Transient
annotation. I've tried adding @Transient
annotation to getter and setter as well, but error is the same. Help me please!
Error I'm getting:
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'entityManagerFactory' defined in class path resource [org/springframework/boot/autoconfigure/orm/jpa/HibernateJpaAutoConfiguration.class]: Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is javax.persistence.PersistenceException: [PersistenceUnit: default] Unable to build Hibernate SessionFactory

}
public Set<Role> getRoles() {
return roles;
}
public void setRoles(Set<Role> roles) {
this.roles = roles;
}
}
Solution
There are two mistakes I have noticed in your model class. 1. Import the import javax.persistence.Transient; 2. Remove Transient anotation from your setter method.
@Transient
public String getPassword() {
return password;
}
public void setPassword(String password) {
this.password = password;
}
